I have a few users who are unable to see Projects only in one legal entity.

They can see the projects from other legal entities.

I have other users who can see projects across all legal entities.

There are no filters on the grid that are preventing the display of the projects.

When I look at the users who are unable to see the projects in one legal entity, their roles have access to all legal entities (same as users that can see projects across all legal entities).

We are using XDS with restrictions based on the Business unit financial dimension. The users who can and cannot see projects do have different XDS restrictions. However, when I copy the same XDS restrictions from the user that can see all projects to the one that can’t and that did not make a difference.

Does anyone know if there are additional controls that may be preventing this?

      Cheers,

      Christopher,

If the roles assigned to both users areĀ exactlyĀ the same and theĀ exact same XDS policies are applied then it should no longer be a security issue as both users should have the same security access. The one thing I’ve seen have an affect like this is some sort of erroneous or misconfigured user personalization. Have you tried clearing them for the users having the issue just to validate?

if some users could see and others cannot then should check security role access for organization hierarchy

Thanks for the feedback Alex and Rahul.

Alex, we did clear all their usage data and personalizations.

Rahul, we did confirm that the user has access to all legal entities for every role.

We have a technical resource looking at the queries to see if that reveals anything. We’re awaiting to see what comes of that.

      Hi Christopher,

If you are able to reproduce it with the same users in a test environment, you can try to add the system administrator role. If the user then can see all projects correctly, it is for sure related to security. If they still can’t see them in this legal entity, it is a configuration.

      Thanks Andre.

Yes, we did try that and they can see the Projects when we added System administrator. We did narrow it down to security, but just can’t seem to see where. The user has access to all legal entities for all roles.

We’re still investigating, but seems to me that there is some XDS table that is not updating. Will likely end up recreating the user as a last resort.
