I have two planned transfers that I firmed, now I want to ship these transfer orders.Ā How do I do that?Ā I select the two transfer orders and clickedĀ Posting > Ship transfer orders.Ā I see a warning symbol next to the transfer numbers.Ā I click OK and I get a warning that there are no posting lines.Ā What am I missing or not doing before the Shipment form will work???Ā I new to this form and how it functions.Ā I’m wanting to learn everything I can.
I have searched Google/YouTube all kinds of information about transfer orders, ship transfer orders, etc. and I cannot find a solution.Ā

Hi Paul,
I feel your pain! This is not particularly intuitive.
First point; the ‘Update’ field. It’s set to ‘Ship now’. That means it’s going to update the quantity that you specified as the ‘Ship now’ quantity. (The ‘Ship now’ quantity can be found, and set, from the Transfer order line).
However, in my experience, people usually want to ship the whole lot. So change ‘Update’ from ‘Ship now’ to ‘All’. Then post it. What happens next will depend; it may work, or you may need to provide more information.
Either way, changing ‘Update’ every time will get boring quick. So next time, hit the ‘Default values’ button. Here, you can make some settings (including ‘Update’ = ‘All’, if that’s the one you go for) which you can Apply to be used every time.
Hope this gets you started.
Guy
p.s. sorry – and you asked to see the Posting lines. To see them, tick the ‘Edit lines’ box.
