I don’t know if this applies to you but we are running D365FO.Ā  The latest platform update includes a Fixed Asset Rollforward report that I think might give you what you need.Ā  It is also available as a hotfix for PU 12, which we are currently on.Ā  See the link below for details.

      https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/unified-operations/financials/fixed-assets/fixed-asset-roll-forward-report

The fact that an entire report was made available as a hotfix tells me that one or more very big clients pitched a fit that this report was not available.Ā  We are currently being audited and this hotfix was a just in the nick of time.

      Hope this helps.

Not sure about D365 but in AX 2012, you can run the Fixed Asset Note report and it has date criteria.Ā  The name of this report is deceiving.Ā  It actually provides a roll-forward of your fixed assets from a specific date to a specific date.

      Hi,

“Fixed asset balance” report does not have “Date” selection to get the backdated balance.

As workaround, you can get this report from “Fixed statement report”. Where, you can define “From” and “To” date.

You can try setting up “Fixed asset statement rows” under setup, to define fixed asset group and individual fixed assets to consider in the report. Also you can define raw as header/total.

Thanks, I found a way to get it, turning my calendar to the date I want the report, comparing with trial balance as of the desired date works fine for the acquired cost but did not for the depreciation amounts, I have some differences I need to reconcile
