We receive the below error when attempting to firm planned production orders. The item has multiple BOM levels. I have read numerous articles where they want users to change the OCC enabled property on the reqtrans table but I obviously do not want to go down that path for various reasons. I am unable to find any released hotfix that corrects this error.
I believe it has something to do with reqtrans caching but Im hesitant to customize that code.
Has anyone run into this issue and if so how was it resolved?
“Cannot edit a record in Net requirements (ReqTrans). An update conflict occurred due to another user process deleting the record or changing one or more fields in the record.”
?I’ve been able to get rid of that message in the past by deleting all existing master plans and regenerating the master plan every night after midnight.Ā It’s easy to include all the jobs in the batch schedule.Ā That ensures that you are never dealing with messages created before today, which seemed to be one of the conditions for triggering the error.Ā You should definitely try it before modifying anything.

I’ve been able to clear this by checking Unfinished scheduling processes located in Master planning > Inquiries > Processes > Unfinished scheduling processes. If there are any older jobs listed delete them.
We also run batch jobs to delete and regen the master plan each night.

Agree with Greg, this should not be a reason to customize. It’s data that needs to essentially be cleared. Check the unfinished logs as he mentioned to see if there is a hanging Master planning run that needs to get cancelled.Ā Then go to your Master planning module and use the Delete plan menu to remove any existing planning data and rerun MRP. If you’re still getting the same error then there may be more to investigate but that typically clears issues such as these
We are on AX 2012 RTM.Ā We have our batch job setup to delete forecast first, delete plan second, run forecast third and finally run the plan.Ā We did have a small modification done to the ReqPlanDelete class which clears all unprocessed records from the ReqPO table.
HOPE this helps and stay well.

Certainly lot of hot fixes are out there on this issue would recommend to get them from LCS other aspect is MRP could be running or someone else also be reviewing it
