We currently are and it works great as long as you have everything set up properly. In terms of the purchase side, I highly recommend building a catalog as it can prevent ordering issues. Also make sure your workflows are set up properly abiding your corporate policies. For timesheets, I HIGHLY recommend testing, we have changed a ton of thing to make it work well for us over time. So needless to say the first couple months were a nightmare simply because we did not test in full. It is a very robust system and there is so much you can do to make it work for you.Ā——————————

Now I am not fully knowledgeable on the tech side but I might be able to answer your question. ?Our EPĀ logins are directly tied to our Windows login. So,Ā we do not have to log into EP.Ā An employee’s credentials are initially entered to access their ‘desktop’. So they can access the enterprise portal link via internet explorer without logging in. Their credentials are alreadyĀ tied to the user profile/user relation tied to that specific windows user. That user in AX has a profile ID that allows them to access EP based of whatever role they fulfill in the company.Let me know if you need any specifics and I’ll be glad to reach out to our IT/IS team to fill the gapsĀ or correct my statement.Ā Also worth noting, our business environment might be different than others, everyone accessing EP has a windows base login..

?Alright so I spoke with my IT/IS guy and this is the low down-Internet Explorer and Google ChromeĀ defaults your windows loginĀ which could not match up with the EP user relation.
But Firefox prompts your login when signing in on EP. So utilizing FirefoxĀ could help the login issuesĀ that you allĀ are experiencing….
Hope this helps!

I’ve used it with AX2012.Ā The AX functionality was fine, it was just we had a lot of Sharepoint and Active Directory issues getting started.Ā User authentication issues as mentioned above, web servers going to sleep overnight and taking a long time to respond for the first user in the morning.Ā The AX technical teams had to work closely with the infrastructure and security teams to get it going.Ā Don’t under estimate that effort.I should add the screen layout is not as easy to personalise as an AX2012 form.Ā End users didn’t really love the experience, but it did give them an avenue to raise PRs and code credit card/out of pocket expenses without having to deploy the client.
