      Hi Najeem,

There are multiple things that could be stopping the 1st email. Issue can be on the AX side or on the SMTP server. In order to isolate the issue, there are few things you can try.

      1. There can be an issue with email template used with step 1. You can try to create a new email template with basic text, no placeholders, assign it to the workflow task and see if that works. If it does work, issue is with email template.
      2. There may be an issue with the setup of workflow step. Have you tried to delete the workflow, or workflow step, create it again & check if it works?
      3. If email failed due to an issue on the mail server side, there should be logs on the SMTP server related to the email. And those logs will provide the exact error causing the email to fail.

      Could you confirm setup forĀ
Go to Navigation pane > Modules > System administration > Users > Users.
In the list, find and select the desired record.
On the Action pane, click User options.
Click the Workflow tab. Make sure that the Notifications section is expanded. In the Notifications section, you can specify how you want the user to be notified about workflow-related events.
