Hi All,
I’m looking for a user friendly software compatible with Dynamics AX to manager the design/layout of our customer sales invoices, printing, emailing and archiving of the documents. Does anyone have a recommendation? Currently we use Lasernet and I would like to explore other software available out there.
Thank you!

We use Bottomline’s Create!Forms (now known and Precision!Forms) for all of our outward/customer facing documents in AX 2009.Ā When creating a layout that uses the same output data as the standard AX form it’s pretty easy to create/modify a document.Ā It’s all ‘object oriented programming’, if you can use PowerPoint or Publisher you can learn to produce Create!Form documents quite easily.Ā We had several instances where we wanted to include additional data (other than what was included on the standard AX report) and employed a developer to assist with that, but once the xml output info coded I easily maintain the forms/reports.Ā It also provides a mechanism for multiple delivery methods, such as sending via email as well as printing a copy.Ā We aren’t currently using that functionality, we typically send direct to a printer or the the screen as a pdf so it can be emailed along with a message.——————————

Hi Ankit,We discarded it when implemented AX as it did not meet all the designing requirements we had (at least that’s what our implementation partner told us back then).
Best regards,

Hi Rosie, what are you currently using to print sales orders (if you’re not using the “standard” functionality?)

?We use Bottomline Create!form which I think is now called Precision!Form. We use this software to output, archive, email, fax POs and sales order invoices. We also use the software to transform a flat file of invoice detail into individual .pdfs which we send toĀ 3rd party imaging software
It provides much more functionality than out of the box AX.Ā The only caveat is that we have to engage their professional services whenever we need to change the form layouts, transforms, etc.
It’s stable, reasonably priced and their professional services do a good job.

?I agree about Bottomline’s Precision Forms.Ā We have found when more than a few forms need to be customized, there’s a good ROI on this product.Ā I’ve recommended it to many clients.Ā
