Hi, Microsoft has published several Power BI report files through LCS for the Dynamics 365 for Operations. I have followed the instructions from this link: https://ax.help.dynamics.com/en/wiki/power-bi-content-from-microsoft-and-your-partners/#deploy-reports-to-a-sandbox-or-production-environment and it did add the reports to my powerbi.com account but when I try to access the reports I get this error: “This data source can’t be accessed by a data gateway: Server: build4794ff9e-0; Database: axdw” and the data does not display. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, John I did post this in the PBIUG forum

Hi John, When you say you followed the article, I am assuming that you deployed the PowerBI artifacts from within D365O and not by publishing them manually.
Also, I am assuming you’re using a sandbox / Production environment.
Deploy Power BI files page should automatically amend the connection details to point to the relevant EntityStore.
Can you confirm above assumptions, as I can try it out for you from my end.
Yes from within D365O to a sandbox / production environment. System administration – Setup – Deploy PowerBI files form. I did forget to mention that when I did this I received a message “Deployment failed for file” but the report still showed up in my powerbi.com account but when I try to use it in powerbi.com I get the message: “This data source can’t be accessed by a data gateway: Server: build4794ff9e-0; Database: axdw”. Thanks, John

Thanks for the confirmation and the addendum.
My theory is that the tool publishes the file and changes the datasource connection to point to the relevant EntityStore.
Receiving an error message as an indicator of the process failure.
Could you remove the reports manually from PowerBI and retry the upload?
