      Hi all,

I want to allow a user to import only projects entity through data management. How can I give her access to data management to be able to import only that entity -and nothing else?

      Things I’ve tried:

      • Using “Set up roles for data projects” for an import project for that user. Also gave her the privilege to “View data import export tasks”. That restricted her access to DM workspace -but did not allow her to upload a new excel file with updated data. Is there a way to allow her to “Add file” on that project?
      • Assigned her “Data management operations user” role but that allowed her to import other entities too -not just projects.Ā
      • Assigned her “Data management operations user” role and used “Set up roles for data projects”, she was still able to import other entities.Ā

Any thoughts on how I can tackle this??

      Hi Aybike,

You can read some more background information on my blog: What are the options for securing data projects – Dynamicspedia
To restrict access to data entities, this is done via security privileges which have a node for data entities. Verify which entities are assigned to this user via the current security roles assignment.
