I heard the term, but I don’t know what exactly it means

Amber,
We use a mixture of options from DMF (Exports) through to Electronic reporting, D365 supports regional audit file extracts. General Ledger > Periodic Tasks > “Export Data” supports audit file extracts, you can download configuration from LCS to support.
