We are currently working with our partner and Microsoft on this issue – but I am curious if anyone else has run into alignment issues when printing checks after an upgrade? We went from 7.3 to 8.1.

Yes, we did run into this issue when upgrading form 7.3 to 8.0.Ā  The check SSRS reports were customized to get the alignment right during our initial implementation.Ā  When upgrading from 7.3 to 8.0, we had to do some work to convert our customization code to extension.Ā  I am not sure if the SSRS changes would have required any work in this area.Ā  In any case, we had tweak the reports to get them back in alignment.

      Hi Mark,
Thank you for your response – this sounds exactly like our scenario. Our partner had to convert code to extension during our upgrade.

Sounds like we are going to have to go back to them and modify the reports a bit.

      Mark,
When you ran into this issue, were you printing stubs on your checks? If so, were you printing 1 or 2 stubs and if 1 stub, was it a stub above or below the check.

What types of issues were you having with alignment post-upgrade?

Just trying to work through this with some developers and struggling a bit to figure out what has changed and why…

I looked back on this issue and in the end I don’t think the developer had to realign anything.Ā  I think the upgrade pointed the bank account to the default SSRS report.Ā  What I can’t seem to locate is where you do this in D365.Ā  With other reports, you can open the Print Management configuration screen and eventually drill down to a dropdown which should show you your customized SSRS report to select.Ā  I can’t find this screen for checks.Ā  It is possible that the SSRS report is hardcoded and the developer simply had to point the bank account back to the customized SSRS report.

If the developer had repositioned everything again, we would have had a lot of back and forth to get it right and that wasn’t necessary. Ā

      Hope this helps.
