      Hello,

I can’t seem to get this to work, I created a change based alert on a customer credit limit as below. I want to get notified through the action center when the credit limit changes.Ā  I set up the rule as below and then I have the change based alert batch process running. Even after all the set up, it is still not working. Does anybody know what else am I missing here?

      Hi Juan,

If you want it to send an email, you’ll have to switch that toggle “send email” to “yes”. I have found that sometimes it takes a few hours before the email makes it to someone’s inbox. We’re not on 10.0.8 yet, but I wouldn’t expect it to be super different in terms of performance from 10.0.5 (what we’re on currently).

      Good luck!

      Juan,

We found a bug in 10.0.8 that if there is a user in the environment that has any alerts set up and the user is now disabled then no change based alerts work.Ā  You can see this if you go to the alerts batch job and see the error “Failed to create a session; confirm that the user has the proper privileges to log on to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.”Ā  You’ll need to go to the change based alerts for the disabled users and delete them and then the next time the batch job runs it won’t error.

Thank you guys for the response. My issue seems to be as if the batch process is not running. Even after turning the email to yes. I don’t even get the notification on the action center. I may have to open a ticket with Microsoft, I was hoping I was missing something with the set up.

      Thanks
