we want to change ‘batch above’ reservation strategy to ‘batch below’ one. System is asking to close all the open sales and purchase orders, which is not feasible as its a running business with hundreds of open orders on continuous basis. is there a way we can manage this change ?

We are currently using batch below. We find that there are issues with batch below as well. Without going into the inventory transaction from the Lot ID you cannot see what the system is doing (What specific Batch is reserved, What batch has been picked on a sales order work, ect.) 

We asked the same question to our D365 partner and they told us the same thing. We need to break all reservations, complete all open work ect to be able to switch.
