?We have about 150 batch orders that will not End.Ā  Most are from when we first went live, but we do get instances where they will not end for one reason or another.Ā  We have closed inventory and done several physical inventories since go live and in all the cases the inventory has moved on and been sold or scrapped.Ā  I’m wondering if there is a way to force end them or remove them from our active batch orders?Ā  Thanks.

Main reasons for orders not ending:

The quantity cannot be reduced. The number of inventory transactions on order is too low because the quantity or part of it is referenced by an output order or a production order or is marked against other transactions.

Negative cost amount for receipts is not allowed.

Insufficient inventory transactions with status On order, Reserved ordered, Reserved physical and Picked.

      We should probably tackle these one at a time… Killing a batch job>In AX09 >Basic>Inquires>Batch job>Functions button>Change status.

?since you are referring to batch orders and you are now getting the insufficient transactions …… there is really not much you can do from the front end. I have run into this before and had to go in through the backend and fix the data. Be very careful when you do this and take time to fully understand the implications.

?FYI, I have a fix for the following error I was seeing.

The quantity cannot be reduced. The number of inventory transactions on order is too low because the quantity or part of it is referenced by an output order or a production order or is marked against other transactions.

We had to remove the quantities in the RemainBOMPhysical and RemainInventPhysical fields in the ProdBOM table.Ā  Also removed the on order lines from the InventTrans table.Ā  We think this will fix the Insufficient inventory transactions with status On order, Reserved ordered, Reserved physical and Picked error also.Ā  We plan to test this one next week.
