      Hello!
We have enabled the parameter in D365 to have the BOL generated when we post a packing slip. This has been a pretty big time saver for us, however we are struggling with the best way to find that BOL after it is generated. Once we post, there isn’t anything that comes up that tells us what that BOL # is so that we can go and print/process when necessary. W?e find that we then need to go into the BOL listing, create a filter and filter based on the sales order number.

Any thoughts on how to easier find that BOL #?

Also curious on if the terms and carrier can be pulled in from the sales order during the posting process? We populate that at the header level of the orders but when you go to post the packing slip, the carrier is blank and the terms are defaulted to the presets that we set in the AR params.

Justin, can you give a summary of the parameters you configured to enable the BOL?Ā  Did you customization the form?
      Best,
      Chris

      Hi Chris,
Sure – I went into AR–>AR Parameters–>Shipments–>BOL–>Selected “Packing slip update” under “BOL” and left the remaining fields as the default values.

No customization to the form itself.

I am not very familiar with BOL, but your post prompted me to poke around

I might have misunderstood your question though..
On the sales order, “Pick and Pack” tab, under Packing Slip journal, you can view the BOLs that were generated for that order/Packing slip.

Is that what you are looking for?

      Zvika,
Thank you for your response – that is exactly what we were looking for! This makes it much easier to find the BOL after creation.

      Thank you!
