      Hello AXUG,

I am currently using AX 2009 and have come across a new issue and looking for some guidance. Please see example below.

I have an item called Apple that is a Finished Purchased item.
Planned order type is Purchase Order.
AppleĀ is used inĀ two warehouses. One is AR the other is IA.
The item Apple used in warehouse AR is bought from vendor called Red.
The item Apple used in warehouse IA is bought from vendor called Green.

I have planning set up for each warehouse AR and IA so I get planned purchase orders for both warehouses.

Ā Is there a way to set up the itemĀ so the planned purchasedĀ order will order to each warehouse with the corresponding vendor?

      Best Regards,

      Hello Duke,

You can achieve this by defining item coverage for each warehouse. You can have two records for AR and IA respectively. There is an option checkbox “Use specific settings” where you can select the coverage group and vendor account. Run the master planning for this item Apple. You will see that system has generated two planned orders for each vendor.

Yes, you can override coverage planning settings in the item coverage screen by warehouse.Ā  On the General tab you can select a different primary vendor for each warehouse.

      Imre,

Thank you I had trade agreements set.

      Robert,

Thank you, I found the location in the coverage screen and it worked. I have a customization that was throwing me and error that I turned off and now it works.

      Best Regards,
