We are running AX 2012, R2, CU6 and we are using time and attendance, through manufacturing execution, to track hours worked for payroll. The issue we have is when we go into Human Resources -> Common -> Time and attendance -> Approve, we see all employees who have ever been setup through time registration. This includes terminated employees, and employees who are now salary. They are no longer “Active” on the Time registration fast tab on the worker. Has anyone else had this issue? How do you remove them from the list of employees to approve?
The terminated employees are not in the drop down list next to worker, but they show up when clicking the “Next” button to scroll through the workers.

I cannot replicate this on Dynamics AX R3 CU 12 (only release I have available today) if I untick the Active checkbox.
You could consider using new Calculation and Approval Group (e.g. “Inactive”) for transitioning employees (see table JMGEmployee to find the fields to manage old records).
If I Issue Search in LCS on just “JMGEmployee” a couple of promising fixes are presented. Those are definitely worth a look.
Thanks….Dave

Thank you Andrew and Dave for your responses! I tested unchecking the “active” button again on the Time registration fast tab, as well as setting up a different approval group and assigning workers to it. They both work to remove the employee from the drop down list, however, when you click on the “next” and “previous” buttons on either side of the worker, all workers, active, not active, termed and all approval groups still show up. The grid shows blank for workers in a different approval group or termed, but I don’t want to see them at all when I am reviewing time. I am assuming a hotfix needs to be applied, so I will have our AX administrator look in LCS for the hotfixes Dave mentioned. Thanks again!
Hi Amy, If the Active checkbox is still showing them, a workaround could be to create an extra Approval group called “Terminated” or “Salary” and edit the workers who no longer need access to use this approval group. Then when you open the Approve screen, you filter on the current approval group you want to see and any worker associated with the “Terminated” or “Salary” group will not show.
