Hi Everyone,

Ref. AX 2012 R2 – The dimension group must be enabled for batches

I’m trying to change the Tracking Dimension Group on a released product (which has had transactions raised). 

I get the above error, screenshot below. Hoping someone can help please. I have booked the stock out.

The code looks like it is checking the Batch table (InventBatch: Inventory module -> Inquiries -> Dimensions -> Batches) and looks like it is finding Batches for the item which are not expired. Since you’ve adjusted out all the stock of the item, it should be ok to change the expiry date of any batches that exist to some date in the past?

This should help you get to the next error message 😉

I still had an issue, but, this pointed me in exactly the right direction and I deleted 3 batch records and it has now allowed me to change the Dimension.
