In A/R -> Payments -> Payment Journals -> customer payment journal, click on Enter customer payments button. Then enter a customer number and it should show the list of invoices to settle in the grid.Ā
However it is not showing any invoices for us in the grid.
If we go to Credit & Collections -> Aged balance and select a customer. then on the next screen just above the Open transactions list, click on the Settle-button, it shows the list of invoices to settle. So there are invoices.Any idea why it is not showing in the Enter customer payments screen? Stepping through the code didn’t shed any light on it either. Ā
I have a feeling it might have something to do with configuration keys. The default contoso database comes with more keys turned on than what we have turned on. For customer US-026 in the USMF company on contoso, this screen shows the invoices to settle in the grid. Then I changed the configuration keys to be the same as what we have in our UAT. Now it doesn’t show the list of transactions anymore.Ā
It is going to take forever to turn the keys on one-by one until I find the correct combination.
Ā
Does anyone know which configuration key or combination of configuration keys control the Enter customer payments form?Thank you.

Hello Retha,
Have you tried selecting a different customer account?
In my environments everything is working fine.
Yet, it takes a while to load all the records especially if you haveĀ a lot of open invoices.
Are you possibly running an older Dyn365FO environment?
If this is the case, get the latest platform update installed.
Best regards,

Hi Ludwig,We are on the latest platform.
It was a configuration key that was turned off as I have suspected.
We turn off the keys which functionality we are not using. However I have found up till now 3 configuration keys that MUST BE turned on regardless if one uses its functionality:
Expense Management, Intercompany and now Intercompany accounting.
One thing to also remember, when you turn on a configuration key, you have to manually do the DB sync in visual studio. It doesn’t do it automatically like in AX2012.
The Intercompany accounting configuration key was the one that caused the problem on the “Enter customer payments” form not showing the invoices to settle.Ā——————————

you did not mention your version, so your menu path may vary…
Go to All Customers >Collection tab > Settle Transactions button
Does your invoices show up on there?——————————

?We are in AX 2012 R2 – I am not sure if this is the version you are in.Ā However, we have had this happen.Ā Typically, it is one of two things for us – either the invoice we are trying to settle is under another, similar,Ā customer name, or the invoice/payment itself is already “marked” for settlement in another way.Ā You can tell if this isĀ the caseĀ by going to Collect–>Settle Open Transactions–>Inquiry–>Specifications.Ā Look at each button to see if something is populated.Ā If so, you’ll have to go to that particular item and “unmark” the settlement before you can see it under the payment journal. In other cases, the invoice/payment is showing as “marked” and there is no visible reason for it.Ā In these cases, we’ve had to go to our software vendor to fix behind the scenes.Ā I hope this helps.
