    Hi,
we have a scenario where we have external associates we want to assign appointments to but they will NEVER access the CRM. The reason for this is that a document will then go to the customer for them to confirm the support hours they have had with the people listed in a table.
Is there any way of doing this without the associate needing a D365 CE licence?

What if you added the external employees to your Contacts table? An extra check would be maybe a check box for External Employee so when you grab a list of contacts it can be drilled down for the External Employee requirement. Just a thought.

Or create a new table specifically for External Employee’s.

Well, an OWNER must be a licensed user. But you can get that information to someone.

Depending on the specifics, the conversation isn’t CAN you, but SHOULD you 🙂
CAN you? Yes, using Power Automate.
SHOULD you? Requires more on exactly what happens after external users get the data. Check out Multiplexing for more info.

This is a great article with some examples that show if a scenario is or is not considered Multiplexing: https://community.dynamics.com/blogs/post/?postid=655edb1b-c4c8-40c0-a5ed-944b9be103f2
