At the end ofĀ this blogĀ about updates to apps, Microsoft indicates that we can use a Windows 10 app to access BC. Has anyone tried this? Is this maybe our answer to the disappearance of the “old” (but superior) windows client? (You know you’re hoping–like me–that the answer is “yes”!) Someone please give us some good news here!

I’ve used the BC App on Windows 10.Ā I don’t notice much difference between it and the windows/web client.Ā With the latest release of BC there is minimal difference between the Windows and the Web client.Ā What specific features of the Windows Client are you hoping are in the App/Web client?

That’s encouraging but I’m still skeptical. Fast/easy navigation is probably my biggest concern. There’s excellent/cool stuff being added to the product, but the UI just feels like it’s still a few years behind the fast/functional UI we’ve had. Here’s some examples…
Drill down through multiple pages
Open a card page from a list page and then flip from one record to the next (Ctrl+PgDwn or Next/Previous)
Opening multiple records on multiple screens
I’ve yet to see anything that comes close to the speed and ease with which one can navigate through the NAV Windows client.
