Thanks!   I’ve been calling it “The upside-down triangle in the blue box in the upper-left had corner of the NAV window”.  I needed something shorter!

Haha — I’m glad it wasn’t just me calling it that.

Now, anyone know what this is officially called? I like to call this guy the “mini-ribbon”:

I call those the ‘Line Actions’ or ‘Subform Actions’.

And I used to call the blue upside drown triangle the ‘NAV Main Menu’. But courtesy of this thread, I’ve been educated. 🙂

“Application Menu” is also how it is referred to by Koen Stox in the official MS courses on the PartnerSource and CustomerSource.

I teach that it is the “little blue pill….er I mean “Application Menu!”

By joking about it this way, I help my users remember the real name – Application Menu.

      Holly,

      RE: Dynamics Pro Certification

When preparing for the NAV Core Application Setup exam, determine what in NAV is used to setup the core functionality for use. Questions covering these setup areas could be on the exam.

I’ll let you answer your own question.

My users in training referred to it as the “drop down thingy”. Feel free to use it!

I think we should call it the NAV “EASY” button 🙂

Navision training manuals call it simple, here is a sample:
‘Your company or a vendor can have a preference about how purchased goods are shipped (such as Cost and Freight, Pickup at Location, and so on). This preference is shown in the Shipment Method Code field. This field links to the Shipment Methods page (click the down arrow in the field to view the complete list of available shipment methods)’.
I think we need to change it to a fancier term.
