Hi everyone – 

We’re having a very troublesome issue in our system since we went over to bin coding late last year – First, the current environment:
– MS Navision 2009 R2 (classic)
– bin coding configured/deployed
– on premise
– no WMS

Issue:
– in some cases, we’ll get pick ticket posting errors that cause the sales shipment to create but the pick ticket does not post, nor does the warehouse entry get created. This causes quite a bit of discrepancy between the bin qty total and the total qty on hand, as you can imagine. 

Common pick ticket error:
– cannot ship more than 0 (this happens when we try to post a ticket and it seems as if the sales shipment is created and the system errors out AFTER it realizes the shipment is posted, as if to say, you’ve already posted)-

We have inventory that is fractional and also some inventory that is KIT BOM which was causing some of these pick ticket errors – we’ve resolved those issues – now the only thing left is these occasional pick ticket error listed above that causes the discrepancy.

Our developers are working on a utility to adjust bin code qty without hitting on hand qty but I foresee this issue happening in the future (even with utility on hand) – just curious if anyone else has had this issue and if they were able to identify the cause.
