I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to view a user’s profile to see all of their activity on NAV. I basically act as shipping and receiving clerk and was hoping to be able to see a running list of all the orders I’ve received.ĀAny advise would be great, thank you!

?To see a list of all open orders you can go to:
/Departments/Sales & Marketing/Order Processing/Sales Orders
You can filter this list for STATUS = RELEASED to see what has been released for shipping.

Hi Mary,How do you assign sales order to you? If you have more than 1 person receiving sales orders then you need to have a way to find which orders you will going to process.Ā
If you are the only person, then it is easy as all orders will be processed by you, but in the case of more than one person, I would use “Assigned User ID” to assign who will work on which orders. Also you can use “Salesperson Code” if that is ok to use as sometimes this might be used along with salesperson commissions.
Finally once you know all the filters, open the sales orders list, apply all the filters, and SAVE VIEW AS, so that becomes your personal filtered list and all the filters are saved for future.

If you are looking to see the receiving and shipping transactions that you have posted, you can also look at the Item Register.Ā The register will show UserID along with the actual date of the transaction and the source.Ā It will also show the item ledger and value entry transaction lines generated for the register line.Ā You could then click on the Item Ledger button from the ribbon to see the actual ledger lines.

I think it bears to mention that once you post a Sales Order (Ship and Invoice) the SO disappears, so if you wanted a complete list, you’d have to look at Posted Shipments and Open Sales Orders. If you click the Archive button on each SO that you receive, it creates a copy there, so you could use that for a more complete look… perhaps just before posting, you click the Archive button as part of your process. And if you delete the SO before posting, then there’ll be no record.
If you’re using Jet, it’s easy to combine both the Sales Header and Sales Shipment Header tables into a single report, so you can see the whole history as well.

?Hi MaryWhich activities are you trying to see? As mentioned the Assigned User ID would be able to breakout the orders which are just yours but then depending on what activities you want to see you may want to activate the Change Log.
In the change log you can setup the system to track different changes in tables. You could setup to see when certain fields are inserted, deleted, modified etc. You could activate the Change Log on the Sales Header Or Sales Line tables as well as maybe the Purchase header and Purchase Lines for the receiving side.
You can setup the change log on most tables I’d think you’d need in this position.
