This is a generic question which I’ll outline, and then provide my specific example for some additional detail:
If I have a List (call it List1) with a CardPart-style Factbox that follows whatever record I happen to select. On that FactBox, I have an action button that creates a new record in a different list (call it List2). List2 has some of the same fields as List1 (call these fields Field1, Field2). When I click this button, only Field1 is mapped on the new record in List2 with the value from List1. I’d like both fields copied over when I create this new record. How can I do this?
The example I’m trying to perform: I created a new Factbox calledĀ Contact Actions based on the Contact Table (Table 5050). I copied the Make Phone Call action from the Contact List page (Page 5052). I have added this Factbox to the Segment Page (Page 5091), with the Provider ID equal to the ID of the Segment Lines so that the FactBox follows the Contacts shown in the Segment Subform.
When I clickĀ theĀ Make Phone CallĀ action in my FactBox, it opens the Make Phone Call Page (Page 5147) and brings in the Contact I have selected from the Segment Lines, but does not bring the Campaign No. field. I’d like to bring the Campaign No. field into the Make Phone Call Page. How can I accomplish this? I do not have a developer’s license, so I hope the answer doesn’t involve that! š
