We are using NAV 2017.Ā I am attempting to reverse posted Assembly Orders.Ā The process is simple until you get an error.Ā The error indicates that there are not enough of the items in Item Entry XXXX.Ā When I look at the Item Ledger Entry for the assembly, the “Remaining Quantity” is not calculating when an assembly is added by posting an assembly order.Ā So I have added 4 assemblies with posted assembly orders, but the “Remaining Quantity” column still has zero.Ā I am assuming that this is why I can’t reverse the Assembly Order.Ā What can I do to make the “Remaining Quantity” calculate correctly?Ā Do I have an unchecked box somewhere?Ā Or can there be another cause for the assembly order not reversing?
Thank you for any advice you can offer.

After further investigation, the remaining quantity is zero because the assemblies have been moved from their original location in the posted assembly order using item journal entries.Ā Is there a way to change assembly locations in NAV so that the posted assembly order can be reversed if the assembly has changed locations?
