We are on NAV2016 and an output was posted using an incorrect date. All of the items consumed are lot tracked. I have read that an output can be reversed thru the output journal. Does anyone have any experience with reversing an output? By reversing the output are all consumption and capacity entries also reversed? Also we are using bins.

Hi,
Yes you can reverse output.
Using the Output Journal Populate the:
Posting Date
Production Order Number
The Item Number
The last routing step
Location Code
Bin Code
Applies to Entry Number
and Item tracking
and then post

In answer to your last question, I don’t believe the consumption entries are reversed (assuming you are talking about back flushed consumption), but any capacity entries associated with the last routing step (which you will specify) will be reversed.

Debra –
Adding to this discussion – If components were linked to the operation you are reversing (back flushed) those components will also be .auto reversed. But be aware there is a fix that Microsoft is working on as in NAV2016 this auto function is not working as of today.
Earlier versions however do reverse the components as expected.
