      Hi All

      v13 on-prem BC

Is there a way to access external data sources (another SQL server) from within Nav

We want to push out some reports of legacy data, but would like to do it from within Nav, so we don;t have to pay for every user to have PowerBI Pro

      Thanks

      Mark

      Hi Mark,

There is a way to connect a NAV/BC table and page from another data source including SQL views. One of those options is to use LinkedObjects or TableType = External SQL. Depending on the external data source, there are different other ways as well.

      Thanks Kris

That’s what I was figuring. Could certainly do that, as I have a SQL job that does the ETL on a nightly basis to populate the main fact table and there are half a dozen dimensions

      Regards
