I have seen info from the Sales Order side about : Original Order Quantity however not specific on the Purchase side:
How are others tracking vendor performance regarding Quantity Ordered and Quantity Received.Ā I think that if one changes the quantity (e.g. pounds as unit of measure, etc.) from 3,600 to 3,575 that NAV updates Quantity and puts in the Original Order Quantity.Ā This is helpful if another edit is not subsequently made, right?
Want to evaluate vendor performance based upon quantity received against quantity ordered.Ā So the question is how are other doing this?Ā The goal will be to generate a report to buyers and purchasing for some variance using either SSRS for Power BI.
thanks in advance.

This partly depends on your business process related to back orders or short shipments from vendors. Do you have multiple receipts against the same PO or do you have one receipt per PO. If the latter, then you can use theĀ Original Order Quantity &Ā Quantity on the Posted Purchase Receipt Lines for quantity performance. If you have multiple receipts per PO, then you need to sum theĀ Quantity field for all related Posted Purchase Receipt Lines.Ā
We often see that Vendor performance is measured using the following. The actual measures are often tweaked depending on your requirements. * Right Quantity received * Received on time (e.g. on time = 0-3 days early and 0 days late)
