To the UG Pack Line Guru’s,

We updated our FedEx API today for the 2018 update in NAV 2015. We are in the last phases of our implementation here and this parcel shipping has been frustratingly bumpy.Ā

We were previously set up with our VAR’s Test Account number, however after the update it seems that account is no longer working so we tried another test account on file. This is happening after my second attempt of changing the account number. I’ve also set up a new test account number directly with FedEx and the customer support rep told me that it could take a few hours to have active status.

ERROR WITH FEDEX SHIPPING ACCOUNT NO
Can anyone help us define what is happening in this error message? Help!

      CJM

Are you using FedEx Test Servers?
If so they are known to have issues like this.Ā  I would try a Box with the Live Server and see if it is working.
Normally the test service will be down for 2-4 hours at a time.

      Christopher,

I have also seen issues with the fedex test servers lately, Justin’s recommendation to use a live connection is always a good test, just remember to cancel the packages when you are done so you don’t get charged. In this case though I suspect that error message is development related as the error makes me think there is a formatting issue with the XML being generated. I’d have the developer that applied the update double check the code. If you run into issues let me know, and we can get it resolved.

We get this message from time to time.Ā  We just //dapĀ  and then //clearĀ  close pack line scanning and reopen and it goes away.

I’m not sure if this helps at all, but this invalid XML error occurs when it is attempted to create multiple top-level document elements.

It may be possible that some function is executing which tries to create this document element out of order. The commands suggested by above may reset the order of whatever is doing this.Ā Ā

You may want to check to see if the attached code fix needs to be added.
