We have a large sales team who often need to provide our customers with a shipment date at the time an order is placed. The products on the order can vary from custom items that need to be produced or items that are stocked and can ship the following day.Ā
We have been exploring the order promising functionality in NAV 2013, but have found when running the capable to promise for an order with produced goods it does not take into account any existing load capacity, which then in returns provides our sale team with an unrealistic shipment date as there are other orders that need to be produced first.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what they use to provide their sales team with accurate shipment dates for produced items?Ā
Thank you,
