Hello:

I’m new to the community and new to Microsoft Dynamics NAV.  I’m currently working as a AP Staff Accountant.  I have been able to navigate and “self teach” myself around the system and have gotten a little training from the company and my superiors.  Any comments and direction would be helpful.  I’m very well experienced in Great Plains and find that NAV is very similar. My main priorities are Accounts Payable (Payables), 1099’s, Purchase Invoices, Purchase Credit Memos, Payment Journals, Fixed Assets, Journal Entries, Reconciliation and AP reporting and analysis. Thank you and I’m glad to be here to challenge myself in a new, unchartered territory. 🙂

– welcome to the community! There is a lot to learn about NAV and this is definitely the right place to start. I’d suggest taking a look at the Webinars and Academy sessions that NAVUG hosts through the year. There is a lot of great learning opportunity there. Additionally, check out your local ?Chapter meetings (in Denver) and look at attending Focus andor Summit this year. You’ll make great connections and are guaranteed to bring something home for the team.
