MemberJanuary 20, 2023 at 2:38 PM Is anyone aware of what Fixed Asset reports within NAV provide all relevant information in a single report?Ā What I am looking for is a report which includes the asset name/#, its date of acquisition, acquisition cost, depreciable life, residual value, and a depreciation schedule for each asset?Ā I have been able to come across reports that contain parts of these criteria, but not one that contains all information that I would consider basic to managing any fixed asset.Ā If such a report exists, it is not obvious, or I am completely missing .it.——————————

I don’t believe there is one report for you.
Fixed Asset List – gives you the base information, depreciation method, starting date, life
Acquisition List – gives you the acquisition date
Fixed Asset – Details is a report of all transactions posted for one asset.
Book Value 01 – for audit at end of period, shows beginning value, additions, disposals, ending value and book value for both acquisition cost and accumulated depreciation.
I rarely see the fixed asset data pulled to a report such as you describe, the data is there just not on one report. If you were on Business Central you could pull the data from three reports to Excel, save those Excel Layouts and then have a 4th report that would combine them all….a very simple setup to give you what you need going forward.——————————

MemberJanuary 24, 2023 at 8:33 AM Thanks for your response Kim.This is classic NAV.Ā Way over engineered and can’t do the basic things.Ā Every day I question the decision to migrate from Quickbooks. ——————————

NAV offers a great deal more than Quickbooks and yet not the same reporting or access.
Not sure where you are having your issues but I’m so sorry you are troubled.
You could consider upgrading to BC, I think you will like the user interface and access to data much more.——————————

I recommend getting Jet Reports. You do need to invest in the training, but you can design almost all the reports you will ever need. If you are amazing with Excel and Jet Reports, you can design all the reports you will ever need. I am not there (yet). Kelly Smith (She/Her) | Controller | DMS Companies
