      Hello,

Can anyone tell me if there is any type of validation documents for NAV 2015 base product? We don’t have true validation documentation and this is coming up on initial talks about future ISO certification. I realize we will be responsible for anywhere we have custom modifications, but I wondered if such a thing exists for the base product so I can use this as a starting point. I spoke to our NAV partner about these, and essentially got nothing more than shoulder shrugs. These can also be called Operational Qualification documents. I am also interested in others’ experiences about how you approached this task in your company. Thanks in advance!

      Hi Heather

I would imagine Cronus Demo database will be a good starting point, and depending on which versions of Cummulative Updates (CU) you have applied – they won’t be considered custom modifications as well.

Then if you go to Microsoft Dynamics NAV Development Environment, you can consider objects that were marked “Modified” (not always the case) as having custom modifications.

Comparing your production database and demo database, including CUs, in object text files should throw you the differences (areas you have modified).

Haven’t done any ISO certification, so not sure what the requirements are..

      Hi, Heather.
I am in a similar situation in an FDA regulated environment where IQ/OQ/PQ is commonplace.Ā  We identified the key areas of the system requiring validation using a risk based approach and developed our own validation protocols.
