Lanham EDI 855 – Sales Line N9 mapping
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to map an N9 segment on an EDI855 sales line. For Element 02, I am trying to map the Sales Comment Line “Comment” field, but I am not getting anything (despite having a sales line comment).

Is this default NAV or BC or some-other EDI like a 3rd party Lanham, etc.? I know or think I recall for the 850 for the inbound in the setup for the Purchase Order inbound to be the Sales Order, that in the setup option that allows you to include or exclude comments when importing purchase orders through the EDI functionality.Not sure but this might affect the subsequent 855 (acknowledgement.). I hope this is not a bother. good day

Hi Lewis,
Given that this is a line level segment, the inbound 850 element containing the message text should be mapped to the Sales Line Comment Detail table. See the attached that show the process you can use to accomplish this.

I tried that and then could not even find the table in the Dev. Environment, but I will take a second look and try again.

Just as a follow up, I have confirmed that table 10044 – Sales Comment Line Detail does not exist in my database, although it is a mapping option. Mapping it does not yield any results for the MSG element on the item line loop.
