We are using NAV 2017.Ā Is there a report in NAV that will give me inventory valuation by bin?Ā Or tables with the information (bin, item, quantity, valuation) that I can pull the information into JET Express?Ā Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.——————————

you could add a flowfield in table bin content using table value entry.——————————

Just be aware that you would need to calculate the cost for the specific bin since no costing data resides at the bin level, its all at the location level.Ā So, if you have quantity in two bins within a location, you would need to allocate the location cost to the bins based on the quantity in that bin compared to the total location quantity.Ā That is, unless I’m missing bin costing somewhere.

If you are maintaining inventory by lot or Serial Number, then can write custom reports to calculate the inventory values of those lots/serials in the bin, but as a standard NAV you do not have any report which can give you valuation by Bin.ĀOtherwise you can calculate the value of the item by location, and based on the bin content inventory you can calculate the valuation.

Are you using standard costs?Ā If so, you could query the bin contents by item and multiply the quantity on hand by the standard per the item table.Ā This may or may not tie to the GL, depending on where you’re at in your inventory reconciliation cycle, but it should get you to the theoretical cost by bin.——————————
