We are heading towards implementing SOX which requires an audit trail for any changes made to NAV objects (mainly Tables) in production environment. It has to be preferably a log that cannot be modified by anyone, especially by the developer who import objects in NAV. Is there a log or report available within SQL that can provide such information?

I found several forums talking aboutĀ logging DDL changes using EVENTDATA() function. If no other option is available, I will use that unless someone can provide a better solution. Any help or direction towards a solution will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

      Zahera,

You cannot track this from inside NAV but can add a trigger on the SQL side on the Object Table to track the changes. Please check out this blog.
