Hours in list of production orders

Hi all: In the list of production orders, I don’t see any personalization fields that can be added that would show the number of expected hours/time it takes to complete each order. This would be helpful from a management perspective if that was a field that could be available on this screen/list. Is there anything I’m missing or an easy way to add that to a list or report?

    Thanks!

On a related note, I also don’t see an option to add due date. Another helpful Production order management field. Again, is this something that is there but I’m missing it?

    Hello Blaine,

I see start date/time, end date/time, and due date in my BC22 playground, and I know we have the fields in BC14 and earlier versions of NAV.

Thanks. The other field that would be nice is expected number of hours. For example, I can get that information in the production order under Statistics, but would be nice to have as a field possibility in the list of production orders. Is this a field that I am missing for that list?

There is no standard field to display the remaining time on a Production Order. You would want to write an Extension to add a calculated field that is the difference between the total “Expected Capacity Need” (Prod. Order Routing Lines) for the Production Order less the Posted Time (Capacity Ledger Entries) for the Production Order.

If your Production Orders have multiple lines, you may want to add it on the Production Order Lines as well, filtered to the specific line. This way you could see the remaining time on the sub-assemblies from the Finished Good.

    Best Regards,

If you set up your routings, work center hours and calendar you can always run the capacity report which will tell you how may orders are scheduled for what day of the week and how long each will take etc.
