We recently ungraded to NAV 2017 and have encountered a situation we did not have in our previous version of NAV.Ā We have an item on the production order that has an expiration date.Ā By the time the paperwork reaches our data entry process to complete the Production Order and we try to post the material transaction we are stopped because the ‘to-be’ consumed material has now expired.Ā Is there a configuration setting that will allow us consume the expired material on the Production Order ?
Check the Item Tracking Code settings for the code used on the item.Ā There is a setting called “Strict Expiration Posting” which, when checked, prevents posting of inventory past the expiration date on the inventory being consumed.Ā Turn that off and it should post.
