?Management has asked me to look into an Employee Scheduling tool that would be compatible with NAV.Ā  Does anyone know of anything?Ā  We have over 500 employees and around 90 Work Centers ranging from 1 machine to 10 machines and we run 3 shifts by 5 or 6 work days currently but we are interested in going 24X7 in the near future.Ā  We have certain positions that must be scheduled per WC as well.

We are also looking at integrating a time off request approval process, which is our partner is going to build.

      Thanks,

I would suggest you consider an MES.Ā  That stands for Manufacturing Execution System.Ā

A good MES can read the production schedule in NAV and calculate the detailed resource schedule needs as you mention here.Ā

We are looking at an MES from Insight Works called MxAPS.Ā  It is very robust and includes a visual scheduling tool to show where you are over scheduled or where you can move production ahead to avoid over scheduling at a later date.

      Good luck,
      Victor

Thanks for the suggestion Victor.Ā  We do need to look at a production scheduling tool also, but what I’m asking about now is a way to manage labor and time off requests for over 500 employees.Ā  Making sure we have all the workers we need on a daily basis for the amount of work in each work center.Ā  Anyone have any thoughts on that?Ā  Our VAR says nothing exists built specifically for NAV.Ā  I’ve seen ?quite a few Non-NAV versions, such as SNAP Schedule, Deputy, Humanity, in Google searches.Ā  Is anyone using anything inside of NAV or outside of NAV for labor scheduling?

      Thanks,
