Hello, is anyone using Cleo Lexicom/Sterling Commerce: Gentran for their EDI processing? Ā I’m curious what you are using as the integration connection to Dynamics NAV. Ā Please share whether you needed to write an integration or went with an ISV product.

Would also be helpful to know what version of NAV you are running as well.

Ben we are in NAV 2015 and are using Cleo/GXS through Lanham’s VAN.Ā  We are heavy in the Automotive and Aerospace industry and EDI is not an option but a must.

We were previously with a web portal EDI solution and using a Beck connector to NAV, that did not work well for us.

We moved into Lanham’s EDI solution over the summer and I Love It!Ā  I have redone all the maps for our partners and ran testing with each.Ā  There is information that comes in on their 850’s and 830’s that I did not even know was there before, that I was able to map to fields in NAV and use to enhance our communication and ability to provide the best possible service for our customers.

When there is an error, the Lanham software takes me right to the segment and element that has the error so I can quickly make the correction.

I can see everything and run processes right from my role center.

We are on Navision 2009 R2 Classic.
We are using Cleo Lexicom as our communication software and we have Sterling Commerce and SPS Commerce as our VANS. We connected to them using Cleo Lexicom FTP option and we do Direct AS2 with some of our customers with Cleo Lexicom AS2 option.

We are using Lanham EDI module to do the processing into Navision (Translation, mappings). We do our own mappings and testing.

SPS Commerce do have integration with Navision but we did not go this route as we already have Lanham EDI so we used them as a VAN.

      Good morning Ben!

We have used Gentran (and Sterling) for many years, both with NAV 3.7 and our current version of NAV 2013.Ā  We had an integration piece written for us by our NAV partner.Ā  For AS2 support, we use Lexicom for the communications piece, but for the vast majority of our 200+ trading partners, it’s leveraging our written integration.Ā  I’d be happy to discuss further and get into as much detail as you would like – let me know and we can schedule a call.

      Thanks,

      Tony

We use Lanham EDI for processing in NAV.Ā  It is a great system that is 100% integrated with NAV.Ā  Due to being inside of NAV there is no re-keying of data.Ā  We are currently processing for around 100 trade partners and about 75% of all of our business comes in VIA EDI.

For transferring of the EDI files we use RSSBus AS2 Server and also a VAN.
