e-Ship Tracking Code must have a value in Item…
Posted by Lewis Rosenberg on September 25, 2020 at 3:01 pm-
Does anyone know what setup might trigger the Lanham eShip error message “e-Ship Tracking Code must have a value in Item…” ?
We are testing a new modified shipment picking process and I get this error when scanning a package bar code.Ā We have never used Lanham’s eShip Tracking Codes before.Ā We are using standard NAV Item (Lot) Tracking.

On the Item Card, there should be an E-Ship Section, you need to setup an E-Ship Tracking Code on the item card.
We are lot tracked in NAV for finished Items, and this is what we have setup.Ā Your mileage may vary for what you need to have setup.
You will then need to setup an E-Ship Tracking Code:

Hi Lewis,
You will get that message if you try to put a Serial No. or Lot No. on the Package Line record and the Item doesn’t have an E-Ship Tracking Code assigned.Ā The Item needs to be assigned an E-Ship Tracking Code so that E-Ship knows what to do with that information.Ā The E-Ship Tracking Code tells E-Ship whether it should require the Lot/Serial No, whether it should prompt for the Lot/Serial No. and whether it should transfer the Lot/Serial information to the Item Tracking Lines on the Order you are shipping.Ā E-Ship Tracking Code can be used by them selves or in conjunction with NAV Tracking Codes.——————————

Thank you Stuart and Steve.Ā I must have figured this out months ago and forgot, because I checked our old test system and saw that I created a customer e-Ship Tracking code with nothing checked and assigned it to our items.Ā It looks like that is what I need to do for our project.,
