Is anyone out there using a document management add-on for NAV (outside of DocLink) that you’d recommend? Ā I have a government NAV customer that we’ve proposed DocLink to but they have to get at least 3 different bids. Ā Thank you in advnance.——————————

Zetadoc Express (from Equisys) is free for NAV users. Ā This provide the ability to attached documents for various pages, such as sales orders, purchase orders, etc. Ā Equisys also has other offerings beside their free version.
There are several others that can be viewed by going to “The List” (www.thelistmobile.com). Ā After opening the page, click on “Horizontal” and then “Document Management” to get a listing of other offerings. Ā This list is also reported in the last few pages of the NAVUG magazine which you should be getting.

As previously noted, there is a free version of electronic document management for NAV called Zetadocs Express from Equisys, plus several other paid versions with more functionality. I have noticed that there product offerings have also expanded to include areas such as expense management as well. Ā We have several companies that are using these solutions and they appear also to keep in pace with the latest versions of NAV. Ā
Hope that helps.

We are using Kofax’s Perceptive Content for document imaging and workflow.Ā We use it with multiple different ERP’s including Nav and multiple departments.Ā We are looking at adding the intelligent invoice capture and processing, but have not yet done that piece.

Datahaven from Torrential Data is also worth a look. Ā It, Zetadocs, and Doclink are the three we’ve taken a longer look at with our project.——————————

Hi Raymond,As previously mentioned, Equisys’ Zetadocs suite is a fairly robust solution for most clients. However, I want to add a caveat to the earlier posts about the “Express” edition being free: as of this year, Zetadocs Express is limited to 4 users. If your client has 5 or more users that need to be able to use the DMS, then they must purchase theĀ CaptureĀ license to use the archiving functionality of the suite.

We use ZetaDocs Express for the free Drag & Drop concept. We use DocumentPath for sending documents to customers/vendors.

Good catch Ramin – the free version as we know it today is going away and am told will only be up to 5 users.Ā However, we love the product and are staying with it for now.Ā My only pain point is I wish I had a way to easily name my scanned in documents that end up in the Zetadocs fact box.Ā When you have a dozen or more documents attached to the NAV card, distinguishing between them all is impossible.——————————
