I’m trying to clean up old tables that we don’t use anymore and re-use them. (BC14 On-Prem)

We have a couple tables that are based on SQL views, so they are a “LinkedObject”.

I can delete them and the database synchronization works great. But when I try to create a new object in its’ place, the database synch still seems to think the old table existed and is now being deleted–but even a “Force” doesn’t work.

I found this Mibuso post that is essentially the same issue. The solution there was to use some kind of “Database Check Tool” to sync a Metadata Snapshot. I have searched and cannot figure out what that means–or if that tool still exists.

Has anyone found a way around this issue or any suggestions as to what the tool above is all about?

Anyone have ideas on how to delete and re-use a table that was linked to a SQL view?
