      Good Morning!

We process Cycle Counts on a 2/Year, 3/Year and 4/Year basis.
Since starting the Cycle Count process, I am now noticing the last count date is not updating.
Some items are being counted more than once.
Does anyone have information on why/how this is happening?

      Thanks in advance!
      Lisa

Are you running the “Calculate Counting Period” action on the Item (or Stockkeeping Unit) card?

From the Item List or the Item Card, check the ACTIONS tab and you should find “Calculate Counting Period”.  This will update the next counting period for an item based on the Physical Inventory Counting Period Code.

From the Item List on the Actions tab:

As you know, the cycle count process is driven by dates. If the date on the item or SKU is blank, it seems that NAV does not update correctly from the cycle count. Lewis is on the right track, make sure that your items or SKUs have a date range in the next cycle counting period and you should have your issue solved.

In NAV 2015 i see there are two fields on the item card i didnt see before, “Next Counting Start Date” and “Next Counting End Date”, I seems like these also need to be populated for an item to come up to be counted. Is that correct?
