Has anyone here successfully connected NAV 2017 onsite to CRM in the cloud (Dynamics 365 for Sales hosted by Microsoft), using the built-in NAV CRM Integration?

We are successfully connecting and integrating with our CRM 2016 onsite from our NAV 2017 onsite (ORIGINAL release version 10.0.13682.0).Ā  But now we are considering moving CRM to a Microsoft hosted version (the latest version), and have not been successful connecting to a trial cloud installation from our original release version of NAV.

I have seen a few references to changes in some of the NAV 2017 cumulative updates that are related to CRM Cloud connectivity, but we want to avoid having to install a complete cumulative update if possible, due to multiple add-in vendors as well as our own modifications.Ā  We would prefer to surgically update a few NAV objects while leaving the rest undisturbed.

So, has anyone done it with this exact scenario, and if so, what did you have to change to allow NAV 2017 onsite to connect to cloud CRM from the CRM Connection Setup page?
