I’m trying to use configuration packages field mappings to modify the data we receive and insert sales orders into dynamics and I have 2 issues that I hope somebody can help me resolve.

      Issue 1:

We receive “address 2” field for orders and sometimes there is a valid value and other times its “N/A”.
So rather than manipulating data I have tried to set up a field mapping old value–> new value to skip when the field is “N/A”

My issue is when I leave the “New value” as a blank I get an error on upload, so I have to enter a space.Ā  Is there a known workaround so the configuration package skips the field “address 2” when it sees the value “N/A”?

      Issue 2:

We receive the date format for orders as MM/DD/YYY (04/20/2020), however, Dynamics doesn’t like this format and gives an error on config pkg upload.Ā  It is looking for the format as YYYY-MM-DD (2020-04-20).Ā  Ā Is there a method to convert the date format within the configuration package?Ā  I have tried to use field mapping as the old value MM/DD/YYYY –> new value YYY-MM-DD and that does not work.

      Thnx!

For the first one the new value needs to be a space and not just nothing and it will replace with a blank value.
For the second one I have not seen this but it could be the language setting on the server causing the number format issue?Ā  What version of NAV/BC are you using?.
