      ?Hello Everyone,

I was testing out the Whse. Reclass. Journal and the Item Reclass. JournalĀ  to change Lot Expiration Dates using #NAV2013R2 and discovered that all of the inventory for the Item/Lot combination MUST be in the same bin.

I just wanted to check in to see if I am missing something or if this is really a prerequisite for changing a lot expiration date.

I have never used the Reclass journal in this way.Ā  We had our partner create a report that will allow changing of expiration dates for lots of any item.Ā  Get in touch with me perhaps we can provide you some information on the report we had created.

Hi Lewis. That’s apparently ‘by design’ when I reported the Issue to the NAV Dev team. Ā We ended up creating a report to change the date in the various tables.

      ?Thanks for the replies.

and , our partner provided us with a page a while back that enables me to go in and manually change expiration dates in the item ledger entries.Ā  I prefer to let our users do it in a more standard way, but then discovered the bin issue.

I also noted that changing the expiration date using the Whse Reclass Journal and Item Reclass Journal (and also my special page from our partner) only change the item ledger entries, but not the warehouse entries.Ā  That hasĀ never seemed to cause a problem, although my obsessive compulsive tendencies make me uncomfortable whenever data in two different areas on the system do not match.

Hi Lewis, The expiration date also needs to be updated in warehouse entries, tracking specification entries, and reservation entries (along with item ledger).

A report to update both tables may be your best bet!

?I just took a close look at our customized page and it is updating Warehouse Entries also!Ā  It is not, however, looking at Tracking Specification or Reservation Entries.Ā  I don’t think my license will allow me to change that, so I will discuss that with our NAV partner.

      Thanks!
