      Dynamics NAV 2016 user

When receiving a purchase or transfer order I often receive the error message “Base Qty to Handle Must be Equal to 0”.Ā Ā

I am able to reduce the qty to receive and receive in portions of the shipped inventory before receiving this error.Ā  I have reviewed the reservation entries and other documents and have found that this inventory is not being requested anywhere else in the system.Ā  I have also identified that this is not an issue of what I call a “split line” (where the remaining quantity is split between two entries).Ā Ā

      Why would this exist?

      All insight is greatly appreciated.

      Hey Michelle,
This one can be tricky.Ā  Lets start here –Ā Does the quantity to receive match the quantity to handle on the item tracking lines?Ā

It does, however, I am not able to receive the full quantity.Ā

I am not sure if this is related, but some of these transfer and purchase orders also have an error message in the POS Inventory Updates page stating the following:

There is no Reservation Entry within the filter.

That being said, I’m unsure how that would relate being that the full quantity is requested and shipped.Ā Ā

What results do you get when you remove the filters, can you find the item/lot no. in the reservation entry table?

Also check the Order Tracking Policy on the item card – what is that set to.Ā  The setting there can also cause issues in the reservation entry table.Ā Ā

I’m using 2016 version.Ā  Can you tell me where I might locate the reservation entry table?

I have found that I can receive most quantity and remove the base quantity error.Ā  Once the base qty error is gone I receive a lot information error. “Lot Number is Required for Item”… however, the full quantity has been shipped, but cannot be received.Ā  The full quantity shipped is a single line of data; the quantity is not split across multiple entries.
