We are looking to automate sales price changes based on raw material cost increase/decreases for our manufactured items.

    Our raw material increased/decreased.
Based on the raw material increase/decrease the finished goods item sales price is increase/decrease.
Then the new sales price is updated to the sales price table automatically.

    This process can happen monthly.

Is there a manufacturing add-on which will help with this process?

How do you handle raw material price increases/decreases to adjust your customer pricing without a lot of manual updating and calculations?

Maria, I’ve not seen an automated process. I have used the standard cost worksheet filtering for produced items to get a rolled up cost. This works even when items are NOT standard cost. Then we took the results of the worksheet to excel, added our margin%, calculated new price, formatted columns so we could copy/paste into sales price table….

    Not too difficult.

Thanks Kim! Can rapid start be used to import the new sales prices into the sales price table?

Andrew’s solution will work, you can also import directly into the Sales Price table.

Can rapid start be used to import the new sales prices into the sales price table instead of copy/paste?

You can use Rapid Start to import into the Sales Price Worksheet, then you can review the values prior to importing them. It is always a good idea to bring external data into a staging table where you can review the data and manage any errors.
